Today is the beginning of the 'KUWT Wednesdays' Artist Appreciation. Every Wednesday I will be showcasing some of the better talents of some of our fans. A lot of them had drawn fan art for my series in some form or manner, but the intent is not to showcase what they've drawn for me - but rather, some of their finest work.
Hopefully getting involved in the fandom will allow you to get featured. A lot of friends and fans deserve to be on this list and there are plentiful, so I'll be doing three each week.
For those wondering what the big news was, or is, it's been posted: together,
and I will be going back and revising most of the early KUWT issues from the ground up. The comic won't be remade, but cleaned up with the old college try to hopefully encourage others to read it. :3 Whether it's the colors or Pat's colors, we'll be taking a crack at fixing those two main problems most folks have pointed out. It'll be fun, but daunting, and we'll make the most of it. :3 I'll be redoing the covers too and resizing most of the pages. :3
I'd like to begin by taking a look at one of the funniest members of our clan, and certainly one of the influential, helpful friends I've met over the course of being here.
AwesomeEight's talents certainly have grown when I first checked out his old comics, and so the improvement's noticeable in such a short time! I couldn't think of a better person to share a laugh with and goof off in those wild and wacky chatrooms we host!
His gags are spot-on and never miss the mark, and it's that humor which I think, has made me learn a few tricks of the trade as well.
Thank you, man. Keep up the good work!
Fathom is the de facto kindly, supportive, wonderful, soul of which I've had the pleasure of being friend with. :3 Many fit this role, but Fathom stands out for bringing all around cheer to the members of the group and with others. From one wrestling fan to another, the fond nostalgia for the 90's in cartooning, particularly with Rocko's Modern Life's unique style, never fails to impress or miss. You could say I don't think he's ever botched anything, and taken as many bumps as one can while delivering a successful pop out there with the crowd. :3
Brandon, aka btm05, is a multi-talented artist who's work is now spreading above and beyond the realm of just one thing - to which that I applaud! Many artists tend to stay in one place (I would know, I'm one of them) and focus on a single entity until they feel it's just right. And that's not bad - but B certainly knows how to expand the horizon and take chances where others don't. I think it's for that reason that he's influenced me to step away from KUWT itself and work on trying out new concepts, and for that I am very much thankful. Brandon always puts 110% in his effort and it shows!
Never settle for less... now that's an excellent piece of advice I think a lot of artists can agree on.
Next Wednesday we'll take a look at
Hope to see you there!
